建築材料学研究室(Construction Materials)-小山准教授
建築物は材料でできており、この建築材料の使いこなしによって建物の美しさが保たれ、人を安全かつ快適に守ることができます。本研究室では建築材料学に関する研究を行っています。自然環境との調和を図りながら今後も建築を実現し続けるためには、他の産業で生じた副産物をも有効利用していくことが不可欠で、例えばコンクリートはそのための十分な容量を持っています。また建物は、自然環境の中で種々の劣化環境作用を受けますが、建物を長く使うことは持続型社会実現のためにも重要であり、材料の耐久性に関する研究を種々の環境を対象に行っています。一方、温暖化は着実に進行しており、材料にも作業員にも過酷な建築現場でどうやって品質管理を行っていくかは将来の重要課題であり、これについても現場レベルで研究を進めています。
Laboratory of Building Materials: The building is made of materials, the beauty of the building is realized by the mastery of this building material, and people can be safely and comfortably protected in it. In order to continue this activity in harmony with the natural environment, it is indispensable to effectively utilize by-products generated in other industries, for example, concrete has sufficient capacity for the purpose. In addition, buildings undergo various deteriorating conditions in the natural environment, but long life of buildings is also important for achieving a sustainable society, we research durability of materials under various environments. Meanwhile, global warming is progressing steadily, and how to manage quality at the harsh construction site for both materials and workers is a future important issue, and we are also conducting research at the construction site level.
